Motivated by a burning desire for revenge, Arya Stark sets sail for Braavos, where the guidance of the Faceless Men will help her fulfill Melisandre’s prophecy. Follow Arya Stark 116 kilometres (72 miles) from the Saltpans, across the sea to Braavos, where she becomes “no one”. Then Arya continues her journey through Westeros to fulfill a dark prophecy in Winterfell.

This is the second of the five challenges in the Game of Thrones set. I am really looking forward to seeing all five up on their hanger. I am making less progress than I want because my treadmill and elliptical are still in storage (sometimes, it feels like this renovation is never going to finish) and the weather has been mild but non-stop mist and rain. Here’s hoping both of those things change soon so I can tackle the third challenge more aggressively. At least I crossed the finish line before New Years Day.

Valar morghulis translates to “all men must die” in High Valerian. It is a customary saying in Essos, via Valyria. In Braavos, it is traditionally answered with another Valyrian saying, “valar dohaeris,” meaning “all men must serve,” and is a password and countersign of the Faceless Men and those who serve them.

Seems like a good place to end one year and start another.
